These 100 providers are just 4.7% of the 2,138 companies with an FCC Form 477 filing, yet together they account for 91.4% of every deployment record reported nationwide. Narrow it further: the top 10 alone, 47,990,519 records, make up 79.1% of the national total. The other 2,038 providers not shown on this page split the remaining 8.6%.

How we calculate this

We sum total_records across the 10 and 100 providers shown on this page and divide by 60,659,227, the sum of total_records across all 2,138 providers in the FCC Form 477 dataset. Reported footprint is heavily concentrated because a handful of satellite and fixed-wireless carriers report availability in nearly every census block nationwide, while most providers file in one state or a small region.
